Into Nature - 8th Session

On 6th May, 2014, Mr. Eranga Wickrama took students to the world of plants. Main objective of the session was to introduce plant diversity. Students also viewed a video clip on "Plant Growth". Technical assistance was provided by Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Manjula Jayathilaka provided the technical assistance.

Into Nature – 9th Session

In order to assist the students in identifying various plants and trees, Library organized a "Nature Tour" around university on 7th May, 2014. Fifteen students and respective class teachers participated for this tour. Students had the opportunity of studying the diversity of plants and trees - some of which are endemic as well as categorized as rare -. Students prepared a Field Book at the end of the tour.

Into Nature - 11th Session

Sri Lanka is blessed with a rich plant life. In order to give an understanding of selected indigenous plants in Sri Lanka, Mrs. Indrani Jayalath conducted an awareness programme on 10th June, 2014. Mr. Eranga Wickrama and Mr. Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance.

Into Nature – 15th Session

On Tuesday, 8th July 2014, "Into Nature" session was dedicated to discuss about the plants of economic importance. Mrs. Inoka Gunasekera made a presentation on economic plants. To add up Mrs. Chandani Kalupahana demonstrated the medicinal plants. Mr. Melro Mendis, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance.

Let's Make a Difference ...

As a student, member of a family, member of a society anyone can make a difference for the betterment of the same. Mrs. Inoka Gunathilake had a discussion with students of Grade 4 and 5 on 23rd September, 2014.  Mr. Melro Mendis, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance.
