Sea and sea creatures are fascinating. Kids love sea. Therefore, Mr. Roshan Fernando taught many facts about the sea to kids studying at Sumudu Preschool on 12th September, 2014. Mr. Manjula Jayathilake provided the technical assistance. Further language learning activities were carried out as usual.

Things at Home

Mrs. Devika Thalawatte had a fruitful session with kids when she described things at home on 17th October, 2014. Using photographs and cartoons Mrs. Thalawatte educated the children as well as developed their vocabulary. Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Sameera Perera provided the technical assistance.

All about Soil

Mrs. Umanga Karunaratne volunteered to collect many facts about soil for kids. Using a PowerPoint presentation she explained types of soil, uses of soil etc. Further, kids were educated about protecting soil too. Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Sameera Perera provided the technical assistance.

All about Insects

Kids were educated about insects by Mrs. Thushari M. Seneviratne on Friday, 7th November, 2014. Video clips, cartoons as well as preserved samples were used. Mr. Roshan Fernando and Mr. Sameera Perera provided the technical assistance.

Universal Children’s Day

Pre-Childhood Development Programme was conducted by Mrs. Nayani Gunawardana to celebrate the Universal Children’s Day in Sumudu Preschool on Tuesday, 1st October, 2013.. This special programme was based on their ambitions and titled as “Adath apei, Hetath apei”.  Mrs. Indu Malagoda and Mr. Eranga Wickrama  backed the fun-filled activities while Mr. Melro Shamendra, Mr. Roshan Fernando and Chamara Herath provided the technical assistance with the staff of Centre for Instructional Technologies (CIT), University of Moratuwa.
