The Library, University of Moratuwa is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Thushari Seneviratne as its first Deputy Librarian. Ms. Seneviratne joined the University of Moratuwa as an Assistant Librarian in 2000 and has since demonstrated a remarkable academic and professional journey, serving the Library for over 25 years with dedication and distinction. During her tenure, she has played a pioneering role in advancing library services, having founded and led several key initiatives including the User Education Unit, the Outreach Services Division, and the Research Support Services Division.
She holds a B.Sc. (Special) Degree in Zoology from the University of Kelaniya (1998), a Master’s Degree in Library and Information Science from the University of Colombo (2001–2003), and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Management from the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Moratuwa (2000).
Her current research interests focus on environmental informatics.
