To inculcate reading habit among the school children and to teach information literacy skills, Library launched a “Reading Camp” at Bodhiraja Vidyalaya – a primary school located near University of Moratuwa.
Reading Camp will be conducted every Wednesday. Inauguration of this programme was held on Friday, 4th of October, 2013 with the participation of Librarian and staff members, Principal, Deputy Principal, and teachers. At the inauguration ceremony, Mr. Anura Kiriella, Senior Assistant Librarian educated the students about the proper use of library and highlighted the importance of reading.
