Library recently established an Outreach Services Division to address the changing nature of library services which are no longer limited to a particular space in a building with stack of books.Having recognized the social responsibility in reaching the community around the university premises, Library launched “Child Development Programme“ in Sumudu Preschool at University of Moratuwa as first outreach activity .Child Development Programme is conducted every Tuesdays and Fridays in the preschool by Library staff members.
Through this programme, Library wishes to fulfill educational needs of preschool children using modern technology and to enhance their skills and talents.This programme was commenced on Tuesday, 17th of September 2013. Librarian and library staff members, Office-bearers of Sports and Welfare Association of University of Moratuwa were present.
