Library Outreach division successfully completed another project/program for the students of Bodhiraja Vidyalaya and their parents on a useful and current topic. On 9th July special programme focusing on “Scholarship and aftermath” was held at the school premises underthe guidance of the Librarian, Mrs. Ruvini Kodikara. Three academic staff members of Faculty of Business facilitated the programme. Resource persons were Mr. Shenal Rajakarunanayake, Mrs. Nawodi Somasiri from Department of Industrial Management and Mrs. Tolusha Yapa from Department of Management of Technology.
A motivational discussion was presented for both parents and students on the value of reading on education and achieving targets of life from childhood. The speakers emphasized the importance of passing scholarship examination for a students studying at a primary school. At the same time they justified that failures are the pillars of success. The Librarian, Principal, Senior Assistant Librarian, resource persons, parents and students of grades 3-5, participated in the programme. Mrs Upeksha Kodithuwakku, in charge of Outreach Services, initiated the programme and technical assistance were given by Mr. Deeptha and Mr. Noordeen.
