This year again, the Year 2 students took part in the Architect
2012 Exhibition. In addition to the design work of the students which is being traditionally displayed, this time the year 2 students erected two life-scale structures on site, a ‘tensegrity’ structure and a membrane structure. Exhibition interior was constructed using ‘waste’ cardboard tubes.
Department’s 4th year students made a presentation held a discussion on ‘Regenerating Sri Lanka” at the SLIA National Conference concurrently held with the exhibition.
The exhibition is an annual event held by the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects and traditionally the Department has been a continuous participant for the last decade or so.
