We at the University of Moratuwa, entrusted with the task of promotion and execution of research and innovation, have decided to reach out to our alumni (both graduate and research alumni) and well-wishers to extend their support. This is an appeal to support the establishment of the University of Moratuwa Research Endowment Fund. The University is also passing through a critical phase due to the prevailing economic conditions in the country. Capital funds in developing research infrastructure too is not available as all procurements have come to a standstill. Our immediate need is ensuring research continues and research students are supported.
The Faculty of Graduate Studies of the University of Moratuwa intends to publish an e-bulletin on the research currently happening in the University simultaneously the University Research Week. For this purpose, we kindly request postgraduate students (PhD., M.Phil. and M.Sc.) who have registered under FGS to provide the below details.
This would be an excellent platform for researchers to showcase their contributions to their respective fields of study and their accomplishments thus far.
The UoM expects the research publication mentor in residence to support the entire PG research student community (mentees!) in the best possible manner to ensure research publication decision making, research to print advise and support, research knowledge dissemination. Resources to support the student community could be by linking with department of languages and the library mainly. We are looking for a person who has experience in research both in terms of being a member and a manager and with good communication skills. Having a publication record in high impact journals and with authorship of books / book chapters are an advantage.
