Dr. Asanka Rodrigo joined the Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka as a lecturer in 2004 after completing his masters degree. After finishing his undergraduate studies, he worked with a private consultancy firm in Sri Lanka as an Engineering team leader and involved with several major power sector project in Sri Lanka. At the same time he served to the ABB Utilities GmbH (Germany) as the Deputy Site Manager of the KG1-Water treatment plant project in Sri Lanka, which was successfully handed over to Sri Lankan government in late 2006.
Dr. Rodrigo graduated with a BSc(Engineering) with First Class Honours in Electrical Engineering in 2002 and earned MSc from the University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka in 2004. He got the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Full scholarship while pursuing postgraduate studies in Sri Lanka. He received his PhD in Industrial Engineering from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2010.
