Huawei Sri Lanka recently opened a Huawei ICT Academy Innovation Lab in collaboration with the University of Moratuwa.
The official opening ceremony of the Huawei ICT Academy Innovation Lab was held at the University premises with the participation of the Secretary to the Ministry of Education Prof. Kapila Perera, Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. N. D. Gunawardena, Deputy Vice Chancellor of the University Prof. P.K.S. Mahanama, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Prof. Nalin Wickramaarachchi, Head of the Department of Computer Science & Engineering Prof. Indika Perera and the CEO of Huawei Sri Lanka Mr. Liang Yi with other University and Huawei officials.
This is considered to be the largest Huawei ICT Academy and Innovation Lab in the country and it is themed as “Cultivating a Talent Ecosystem for Digitally Inclusive Sri Lanka”.
The aim of the Huawei ICT Academy Innovation Lab is to train individuals in real environment using Huawei equipment to acquire high level Huawei Certifications, support university research programs bu providing the cutting edge technology and platforms and inspire innovations by conducting Industry and university collaborative projects and research.
The Huawei’s cooperation had recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Moratuwa to establish a joint innovation laboratory and ICT Academy.
