Higher Education for Twenty First century (HETC) Project

 

HETC is a project of the Ministry of Higher Education funded by the International Development Association (World Bank) for the period of 5 years from 2011 to 2016.

Objectives:
  • Enhance the capacity of higher education system
  • Deliver quality higher education services in line with equitable, social and economic development needs of the country.
The project consist of four components

UDG-University Development Grant

This component is aimed to strengthen the economic and social relevance of university programs.

The objective of this component is to make additional resources available to support strategic and innovative plans to enhance the quality of teaching and research.

This sub-component is to address the issue of urgent need for investment in human resource development in the higher education sector.
